Ford has announced the addition of the off-road-centric Wildtrak X to its Ranger lineup, set to arrive in Australian showrooms in the second half of the year. The Wildtrak X aims to bridge the gap between the high-performance Ranger Raptor and the recreation-oriented Wildtrak, with a recommended Manufacturer List Price (MLP) of $75,990.
Key features of the Ranger Wildtrak X:
- Wider track and increased ground clearance
- Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, and upgraded Bilstein Position-Sensitive Dampers
- Ford’s Flexible Rack System for easier cargo management
- New off-road grille, Matrix LED headlamps with auxiliary LEDs, B&O premium audio system, and 12.4-inch digital cluster
- Full-time 4WD system on the 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel variant
- 3500kg towing capacity remains unchanged
The Wildtrak X comes with a range of features that enhance its off-road capabilities, including suspension improvements, Bilstein Position-Sensitive Dampers, and General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tires. The vehicle also includes advanced off-road technologies like Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, and Rock Crawl mode.'
Exclusive to the Wildtrak X is the Cyber Orange6 color, a new off-road grille design, steel bash plate, cast aluminum side steps, and Wildtrak X badges. The interior boasts leather-accented seats with Miko® suede, Terra suede trim, and Cyber Orange contrast stitching.
The Wildtrak X is powered by Ford’s 2.0-Litre Bi-Turbo inline four-cylinder diesel engine, producing 150kW/500Nm, and paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle meets the Light Duty Truck EU Stage 6 emissions level and requires the use of AdBlue
