Subaru Australia has officially announced the pricing and specifications for their first all-electric SUV, the Subaru Solterra. Aimed at the Australian market, this vehicle marks a significant step for Subaru in the realm of electric mobility.

The Solterra is available in two grades, both featuring Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, mounted on the new e-Subaru Global Platform. Additionally, the SUV is equipped with Dual Mode X-Mode, 210mm ground clearance, Subaru Safety Sense, and Vision Assist as standard.

Powering the Solterra are dual electric motors, offering a combined output of 160kW and 337nM of torque. This configuration is tailored to meet the needs of Australian drivers, promising both power and efficiency.

Subaru Australia's Managing Director, Blair Read, expressed excitement about offering the Solterra to all Australian motorists. The SUV is designed to embody Subaru's long-standing reputation for control, safety, and versatility in various terrains and conditions.

The pricing for the Solterra AWD starts at $77,990, while the Solterra AWD Touring is priced at $83,690. These prices include a 5-year service plan, roadside assistance, and a set of essential accessories, including a 2kW AC charging cable.

Solterra features a 71.4kWh Li-Ion Battery, with a WLTP of 414km

Solterra features a 71.4kW lithium-ion battery, providing a WLTP test range of 414km. The vehicle supports both AC and DC charging, with rapid charging capabilities allowing for a significant recharge in approximately 30 minutes using a 150kW DC charger.

The vehicle combines advanced technology with Subaru's renowned reliability. It signals the beginning of a broader diversification in Subaru's model lineup, which will include more hybrid and BEV models.

Solterra's infotainment system includes a 12.3" high-definition touchscreen, and the SUV is equipped with several comfort and safety features. The Touring model adds additional luxury features, such as a panoramic glass roof and two-tone paint options.

Subaru also offers charging bundles to support customers with electric vehicle ownership. These bundles include a standard installation and an EV charger, with prices starting at $2,250 RRP.

The Subaru Solterra comes with a comprehensive warranty package, including a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty and an eight-year/160,000-kilometre warranty for the high-voltage battery.
