The Grand Tour is set to be refreshed with a new trio of hosts.

According to UK newspaper The Sun, Amazon’s Prime Video has recruited Canadian, Thomas Holland, and Brit, James Engelsman, from YouTube channel Throttle House to host The Grand Tour.

Joining them is said to be Francis Bourgeois, arguably the internet’s most popular trainspotter.

The news comes following the departure of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May in 2024, who decided to retire from the show – ending a 22-year on-air partnership that began on the BBC’s Top Gear.

In September 2024, Hammond confirmed a rumour to UK publication Metro, saying Amazon would be finding news hosts for The Grand Tour.

The Throttle House YouTube channel has 3.26 million subscribers, and has amassed almost 700 million views across 500 videos since it launched in 2015. Hammond has also appeared in a video on Throttle House.

While Holland and Engelsman are highly knowledgeable when it comes to cars, Bourgeois – whose real name is Luke Nicolson – shot to fame with his social media videos, using a forehead-mounted 360-degree camera to capture his enthusiasm for British trains.

Bourgeois has since launched his own YouTube channel, and has featured guests such as Louis Theroux and Chris Harris – with Harris being one of the hosts that replaced Clarkson, Hammond, and May at Top Gear.
