2025 Kia Tasman: Price and specs as Australian orders open

Kia Australia has opened customer order books and revealed the full model line-up and pricing for the 2025 Kia Tasman dual-cab ute ahead of its arrival in local showrooms.

The hotly-anticipated Tasman will start from $42,990 plus on-road costs in 4x2 form with 4x4 models from $49,990 – with five different trim levels and three different body types.

Dual Cab Pick-Up trims are set to arrive in July, with Dual Cab Chassis following in August with Single Cab Chassis by the end of 2025.

This means the Tasman will start at a higher price – until cheaper single-cab chassis models arrive at least – than the category best-selling Ford Ranger, which kicks off at $36,880 before on-road costs, with its arch-rival Toyota HiLux from $27,730 before on-roads.

All variants of the Tasman will use the same 154kW/440Nm turbo-diesel four-cylinder and eight-speed automatic. The line-up includes payloads of more than 1000kg for every variant, and 3500kg braked tow rating.

With several different styling versions seen testing, Kia has offering certain models – but not all – with body-coloured flares.

The Tasman S is the entry-level version and is offered in all three body types: Single Cab Chassis, Dual Cab Chassis and Dual Cab Pick-up.
