The 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger was unveiled today, featuring a battery-electric vehicle range that is targeted to reach up to 690 miles (~1110 km). This new model joins Ram's lineup as an electric vehicle (EV) with substantial range capabilities.

Equipped with a 92 kWh battery and a 130 kW on-board generator, the Ramcharger supplies its 250 kW front and 238 kW rear electric drive modules (EDMs) with ample power.

That means the Ramcharger has 2 electric motors at the front and rear axles, as well as a 3.6L V6 petrol (aka gas) engine that solely acts as a generator for the electric motors. In other words, the Ramcharger has a V6 engine not connected to its wheels.

The vehicle's performance metrics equate to approximately 494 kW (663 horsepower converted to kW) and 834 Nm (615 lb.-ft. converted to Nm) of torque, and it has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. It's also capable of towing up to 14,000 lbs and carrying a payload of up to 2,625 lbs.

The Ramcharger's body-on-frame architecture, the STLA Frame, is tailored for full-size electric vehicles and integrates the battery pack into the vehicle's structure efficiently. It also provides bi-directional charging capability, which allows the vehicle to charge other EVs or supply power back to the grid.

The vehicle includes autonomous driving features such as Hands-free Highway Assist for all-speeds driving and parking assist technologies. The Ramcharger also showcases a refreshed exterior that aligns with the Ram brand aesthetic while distinguishing itself as an EV, including a unique front grille and EV-specific lighting.

Inside, the Ramcharger features the Uconnect 5 system with a large touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster. It also introduces a new passenger screen and a high-fidelity Klipsch audio system. These components are part of the Ram's strategy to provide functional and high-quality interiors.

The launch of the Ram 1500 Ramcharger is a strategic move for Stellantis, aiming to advance the company's electrification efforts as outlined in its Dare Forward 2030 plan. The Ram brand, established as a separate entity in 2009, has been focused on delivering vehicles that meet the specific needs of truck consumers.

The Ram 1500 Ramcharger is presented as a full-size electric truck that combines the utility of Ram vehicles with the benefits of electric propulsion and technological advancements.
