2025 Škoda Octavia Select Debuts with Enhanced Value Under $40,000 RRP

Škoda has unveiled the Octavia Select, a new addition to its popular mid-sized sedan and wagon lineup, offering improved technology, safety, and design. The Octavia Select sedan starts at $39,590 RRP, with national drive-away pricing from $41,490. The wagon variant begins at $41,090 RRP or $43,990 drive-away.

Designed for practicality, the sedan offers 600 litres of boot space, while the wagon provides an even larger 640 litres. Škoda has introduced a finance plan, allowing buyers to access the sedan from $111 per week and the wagon from $119 per week with a 6.99% interest rate, based on a five-year term and a 15,000km annual travel limit through the Škoda Choice program.

The Octavia Select is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine, delivering 110kW of power and 250Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The combination results in a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 8.7 seconds. In early 2025, the Select will be joined by the Octavia SportLine and RS variants, featuring a 1.4-litre and 2.0-litre turbo engine respectively.

Inside, the Octavia Select features a new Lodge design theme, incorporating dashboard-mounted cloth trim inserts and refreshed materials. Technology upgrades include a 10-inch Virtual Cockpit and a 13-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and satellite navigation. Wireless smartphone charging with active ventilation and 15W recharging capability is also standard.

Škoda has introduced new safety features to the Octavia Select, including autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection and reversing AEB. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, semi-autonomous travel assist, and lane assist with adaptive lane guidance are also part of the package. Additional systems include rear traffic alert, side assist, and exit warning, complemented by front and rear parking sensors.

On the exterior, the Octavia Select receives new 18-inch alloy wheels, refreshed LED headlights and tail-lights, and redesigned front and rear bumpers. Convenience features such as rain-sensing wipers, a keyless push-button start, and folding mirrors with auto-dimming functionality are included. The cabin adds customisable LED interior lighting and a leather steering wheel with paddle shifters for added comfort.

Škoda’s signature 'Simply Clever' touches also feature in the Octavia Select, with practical elements like a driver's door umbrella holder, a waste bin, and tablet holders on the back of the front seats. Cargo management solutions include a divide and net system in the boot.

The Octavia Select is available in a range of colours, including five metallic options, with Velvet Red Metallic offered for $770. Škoda’s standard seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty applies across the range.
