Jeep has introduced the all-new Standard Wheel Base, 2 row 2023 Grand Cherokee, which boasts a number of new features and design elements. This latest iteration of the Grand Cherokee is set to arrive in dealerships in February, starting at $77,950 and offering three trim configurations: Night Eagle, Limited and Overland. The Night Eagle trim features a sleek and aerodynamic exterior, while the Limited and Overland trims boast a premium feel with Nappa leather-trimmed seats, 20-inch wheels, and a Dual-Pane sunroof.
The new Grand Cherokee comes equipped with a range of advanced technologies, including the Uconnect 5 system, which offers five-times-faster operating speeds compared to the previous generation, and an over-the-air (OTA) update feature. The vehicle is also equipped with a range of safety and security features, such as seat heating, Uconnect 5 navigation, powered front seats with power lumbar adjustment, height adjustable Power Liftgate, automatic LED headlamps, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Path Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Active Lane Management, Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking (with cyclist detection), Drowsy Driver Detection, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
The new Grand Cherokee offers an improved ride quality, handling, and comfort, due to a new unibody construction that increases rigidity and reduces weight. The vehicle is equipped with an all-new architecture, independent front and rear suspensions, and a class-exclusive Quadra-Lift air suspension with electronic semi-active damping, offering up to 276 mm of ground clearance and 610 mm of water fording.
Jeep's new Grand Cherokee will be the first vehicle to offer a plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Summit Reserve 4xe, which is scheduled to arrive later this year. The new front-axle disconnect system allows the vehicle to switch between two- and four-wheel drive, improving fuel economy and reducing drag on the driveline.
The Grand Cherokee has been extensively tested in Australia's harshest and most remote environments, covering over 60,000 kilometers. This latest iteration of the Grand Cherokee offers enhanced 4x4 capability, making it a true icon in the premium SUV segment.
“The all-new Grand Cherokee represents a fundamental shift for Jeep as it is the most technologically advanced model we have released. This is our new standard,” said Kevin Flynn, Jeep Australia Managing Director. “This vehicle is a blend of refined sophistication, dynamic performance, cutting-edge technologies, and unsurpassed levels of elegance. The new Grand Cherokee carries an attractive presence and capability that is uncommon in its segment, unquestionably Jeep brand and unmistakably world class.”
