Audi has unveiled the all-new 2025 A5 and S5 at the 2025 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix in Melbourne, confirming that both models will arrive in Australia within the next quarter. The A5 Sedan will start at $79,900 before on-road costs, undercutting key rivals such as the BMW 330i ($89,900) and the Mercedes-Benz C200 ($91,400). Pricing for the S5 Sedan and Avant is yet to be confirmed.

The new generation introduces a revised design, updated technology, and a focus on efficiency through mild-hybrid powertrains. Built on the new Premium Platform for Combustion (PPC), these are the first models in Australia to adopt this architecture. The range includes both a sedan with a Sportback-style tailgate and an Avant variant. The exterior and interior have been redesigned, incorporating new lighting technology, while the cabin features Audi’s latest infotainment system. A sunroof with an innovative transparency control has also been introduced.
The A5 and S5 will feature mild hybrid plus engines aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 17 grams per kilometre. The S5 produces 270 kW and 550 Nm, with a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds.

A Bang & Olufsen 3D premium sound system, including headrest speakers, will be available, alongside a range of other new technology features.
With the launch set for the first half of 2025, more details about the local specifications and availability are expected to emerge in the coming months.
