Volkswagen has confirmed pricing and specifications for the all-new 2025 Tiguan mid-sized SUV ahead of its Australian arrival in May. The third-generation Tiguan will be offered in five main variants, with petrol engines ranging from front-wheel drive to performance-focused all-wheel drive.
The entry-level Tiguan 110TSI Life starts from $44,990 before on-road costs. It comes equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, 19-inch alloy wheels, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and a 360-degree camera.

Standard safety equipment across the range includes nine airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, front and rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and dynamic road sign assist. Semi-autonomous parking and vehicle braking when turning are also included.
The mid-tier 110TSI Elegance is priced from $50,690 and adds chrome exterior detailing, leather-appointed seats, power-adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage, and LED Plus headlights. Optional features include a panoramic sunroof ($2,100) and a Sound & Vision package ($2,700), which adds a head-up display and Harman Kardon premium audio system.

The 150TSI R-Line introduces a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 4MOTION all-wheel drive from $55,990. This variant includes sports seats, unique styling elements, adaptive chassis control (DCC Pro), and progressive steering.
Buyers seeking a luxury-focused all-wheel drive model can opt for the 150TSI Elegance, priced from $60,690. It includes features from the R-Line and adds HD Matrix LED headlights, a larger 15.0-inch Discover Pro Max infotainment screen, and dynamic tail lights with indicators.

At the top of the range sits the 195TSI R-Line, starting from $70,490. This variant features a 2.0-litre turbo engine producing 195kW and 400Nm, enabling 0–100km/h acceleration in a claimed 5.9 seconds. It also gains 20-inch alloy wheels, memory seats, heated steering wheel, and upgraded LED lighting systems.
A $1,500 Black Style Package is optional for the 195TSI R-Line, adding gloss black trim elements and 20-inch York alloy wheels. Metallic paint costs $800, while premium metallic finishes are $1,100.

All variants are built on the updated MQB Evo platform, featuring a revised chassis and aerodynamic improvements that reduce the drag coefficient from 0.33 to 0.28. Interior space has slightly increased, with the vehicle gaining 30mm in length and luggage capacity increasing to 652 litres (with seats up).
Volkswagen Australia says the new Tiguan range is designed to offer buyers a choice between value-oriented, tech-equipped entry models and performance- or luxury-focused higher trims. It replaces the previous Tiguan lineup including the 132TSI, 162TSI, and Tiguan R.
