Genesis has unveiled two new concept vehicles at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show — the X Gran Coupe Concept and X Gran Convertible Concept. Each offers a new design interpretation of the brand's G90 flagship and continues Genesis’ efforts to expand its vision of future luxury design and performance.
The two-door coupe and convertible both adopt dramatic proportions, frameless windows, and extended doors without B-pillars. Both cars feature Genesis’ signature Two-Line headlights and a 3D Crest Grille design, with a wide shark-nose stance and elongated hoods.

The X Gran Coupe Concept is finished with olive-inspired interior detailing and microperforated olive wood trim, complete with quilted tunnel sections and a fully quilted leather roof. Genesis says the materials reflect the Mediterranean region, and the leather is produced using chrome-free tanning methods sourced from Italian olive oil waste.
Meanwhile, the X Gran Convertible Concept references Italian wine regions, using a paint finish designed to evoke pressed grapes and an interior finished in tones inspired by Cabernet Sauvignon. Crystal detailing is found throughout the interior to reflect natural light and add depth to the cabin.

Both cars introduce reworked silhouettes and sculptural five-star wheels. At the rear, flush Genesis badging and retractable rear-view cameras enhance the minimalist aesthetic, while square tailpipes and raised spoiler edges emphasise performance intent.
Inside, the concepts update several aspects of the G90’s interior. The front seats now integrate displays and built-in belt systems, while the aluminium-finished steering wheel introduces revised control elements. Overhead consoles and redesigned air vents signal an evolution of Genesis’ cabin technology.

Genesis also debuted the half-scale GMR-001 hypercar model in Korea for the first time. The brand confirmed plans to enter the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2026 and the IMSA Sportscar Championship in 2027, under its Magma Racing division. Team Principal Cyril Abiteboul, who also heads Hyundai Motorsport, said, "Endurance racing showcases values of resilience, teamwork and excellence, qualities that resonate deeply with Genesis’ vision and ambition."
Both the X Gran Coupe and Convertible Concepts will remain on display at the Genesis stand throughout the Seoul Mobility Show from April 4–13, alongside the GV60 Magma Concept, GV80 Black, redesigned GV60 and GV70 models, and the production G90 sedan.
