GWM has announced plans to expand its Australian range in 2025 with the introduction of six new models. These models will include a mix of petrol, diesel, hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), and electric vehicles, offering a wider variety of powertrains for consumers.
The first model to be released in Q1 2025 will be the new GWM Cannon ute, featuring a 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine with 135kW of power and 480Nm of torque. It will also offer design upgrades, such as a new grille and an updated interior with a larger infotainment touchscreen.

The GWM Tank 300 Diesel will also launch in Q1, powered by the same 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine. This will provide buyers with a third powertrain option in addition to the existing petrol and hybrid versions of the Tank 300.

GWM will introduce its first Plug-in Hybrid model in Australia with the H6GT PHEV, offering up to 180km of electric-only range. The Cannon Alpha Hi4T PHEV, expected in Q2, will feature 300kW of power, 750Nm of torque, and a 37.1kWh battery providing 110km of electric-only driving.
The refreshed Haval H6, arriving in Q2, will feature design updates inside and out, and may also offer a PHEV variant. GWM’s new Haval H7 mid-sized SUV, designed to bridge the gap between the H6 and the Tank 300, is also expected to join the range in Q2.
