Hyundai has introduced the facelifted 2025 i30, featuring a new 1.5 T-GDi mild hybrid powertrain and a refreshed design. The updated model, produced in Hyundai’s European plant in Czechia, is now exclusively available in the premium N Line and N Line Premium trims, as Hyundai has discontinued all entry-level variants.
The facelift brings significant updates to the i30’s design and performance, including a shift in powertrain offerings. The previous 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine, which delivered 150 kW and 265 Nm, has been replaced by a new 1.5 T-GDi engine paired with a mild hybrid system. This new powertrain delivers 117 kW at 5,500 rpm and 253 Nm of torque from 1,500 to 3,500 rpm. It is coupled with a seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), offering a 20% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the previous conventional six-speed automatic.
Externally, the facelifted i30 N Line showcases a redesigned front grille with floating dark metal wings, flanked by Multi-Face Reflector LED headlamps featuring V-shaped daytime running lights. The side profile is accentuated by new side skirts with a dark finish, and the vehicle rides on newly designed eighteen-inch alloy wheels. The rear of the car has also been updated, featuring a dynamic bumper design with wide diffusers and twin exhaust tips, contributing to a sportier appearance.
The 2025 i30 N Line, starting at $36,000, comes equipped with a suite of Hyundai SmartSense safety features. These include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist. The interior is centered around a ten and a quarter inch full digital instrument cluster, which displays a range of driving information. The dashboard has been upgraded with a new soft paint finish, and the center console features a gloss black finish, complemented by sporty red accents on the seats and start/stop button.
The N Line Premium variant, priced at $41,000, builds on the N Line's features with additional premium touches. This trim includes a ten and a quarter inch infotainment system with Bluelink connected car services and Over the Air (OTA) update capability, allowing the vehicle's software to be updated remotely. The interior of the N Line Premium is further enhanced with a twelve-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a panoramic sunroof.
Hyundai’s Bluelink system in the 2025 i30 N Line Premium provides a range of connected car services, including Automatic Collision Notification, Emergency Call, and live traffic updates. The vehicle comes with a five-year complimentary Bluelink subscription, which is transferable to subsequent owners within the subscription period.
Safety continues to be a priority in the 2025 i30, with the inclusion of features such as Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. The vehicle is also equipped with Lane Following Assist and Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control, which help maintain safe driving conditions on highways.
The refreshed exterior design of the 2025 i30 is complemented by LED puddle lights, privacy glass for the rear doors and tailgate, and a selection of seven exterior colors, including new shades like Atlas White and Cypress Green Mica.
