Lexus has launched the all-new GX 550 in Australia, marking the debut of the GX nameplate in the country. The GX 550 is positioned between the RX and LX models in Lexus's SUV lineup and comes in three grades: Luxury, Overtrail, and Sports Luxury.

The GX 550 Luxury grade starts at $116,000 plus on-road costs, featuring a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, seven-seat configuration, and various luxury amenities. The mid-tier Overtrail grade, priced from $122,250, offers off-road enhancements, including a unique suspension system and all-terrain tyres. The flagship Sports Luxury grade, starting at $128,200, includes 22-inch alloy wheels, premium leather upholstery, and a high-end Mark Levinson audio system.

The GX 550 is built on a GA-F ladder-frame architecture, providing a rigid structure designed for both luxury and off-road capability. The vehicle measures 5,015mm in length, with a width ranging from 1,980mm to 2,000mm and a height between 1,925mm and 1,935mm, depending on the grade.

All GX 550 models come equipped with advanced Lexus Safety System+ technologies, a 14-inch multimedia display, and Lexus Connected Services. The vehicle also offers a range of interior features, such as climate control, power-adjustable seats, and a head-up display.

The Overtrail grade is distinguished by its off-road focused design, featuring black 18-inch alloy wheels, special bumpers, and a range of mechanical enhancements. The Sports Luxury grade adds further luxury with features like massaging front seats, ambient interior lighting, and a panoramic roof.
