Mazda has announced the unveiling of its latest model, the CX-80 SUV, scheduled for April 18, 2024, at 8:00 PM AEST.
This event will introduce a three-row vehicle developed on Mazda's Large Architecture platform.
The CX-80, produced in Japan, is designed to accommodate up to seven occupants, aiming to cater to larger families or groups.
The vehicle measures nearly five meters in length with a wheelbase of over three meters, positioning it as a larger alternative within Mazda's SUV lineup compared to the CX-60.
It will join the CX-60, CX-90, and the upcoming CX-70 in Mazda's Australian SUV range.
The CX-80 features a design inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics and includes a range of technological enhancements, such as Mazda Connected Services. The model adheres to Mazda's 'Jinba Ittai' concept, which focuses on creating a responsive driving experience.
The CX-80 will be offered with two second-row seating configurations: a standard three-seat arrangement or two individual captain's seats with a central console, both options include third-row seats that fold flat to expand cargo space.
