Suzuki Australia announced on September 11th that they would release 500 units of the Jimny Automatic 3-doors for sale at 12 pm AEST on September 18th, 2023. Within 5 hours of the sale going live, all units were accounted for.

The company's official website saw a spike in online inquiries from the time the sale was announced until the sale date.

This continues the pattern observed since the Jimny's Australian launch announcement in July 2018, and its eventual market introduction in January 2019.

On the day of the sale, alongside the 500 units of the Automatic 3-door model, Suzuki recorded 34 orders for the 3-Door Jimny manual and 62 pre-orders for the 5-Door Jimny.

Further, Suzuki Australia has stated they have received over 1500 orders for the long wheelbase Jimny 5 Door, which is set to be released in the first quarter of 2024.

Commenting on the sales, Suzuki Australia General Manager – Automobile, Mr. Michael Pachota said, "Taking orders for almost 600 units in under 5 hours shows the sustained interest in the Jimny as a 4x4 option. We aim to meet this demand with continued supply efforts in 2024.”
