Zeekr 009: Pricing, Specs, and Australian Launch Details

Zeekr has officially introduced its premium electric MPV, the Zeekr 009, to the Australian market. The new model is now available for pre-order, with prices starting at $135,900 for the 7-seat AWD configuration and $139,900 for the 6-seat AWD version. Both models come equipped with luxury features and advanced technologies aimed at redefining the MPV segment.

The Zeekr 009 is available in two seating configurations: the 7-seat option with a 2+2+3 layout and the 6-seat option with a 2+2+2 arrangement. Both variants are built with comfort in mind, featuring Nappa leather seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functionalities. The "lounge chair" mode, inspired by high-end furniture designs, offers passengers a fully extendable seating experience for enhanced comfort.

Under the hood, the Zeekr 009 is powered by dual electric motors with a total output of 450kW and 693Nm of torque. A 116kWh lithium-ion battery pack offers an impressive range of up to 686km on the NEDC cycle, while a WLTP range of 582km is expected. The MPV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, making it one of the fastest in its class. Charging options include a DC fast charge from 10-80% in approximately 30 minutes and an AC charge from 0-100% in 13.5 hours.

Inside, the Zeekr 009 is outfitted with advanced technology, including a 15.05-inch 2.5K OLED central touchscreen and a 17-inch 3K OLED rear entertainment display.

The infotainment system is supported by dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chips, ensuring smooth operation and connectivity. A 30-speaker Yamaha surround sound system is integrated for a high-quality audio experience.

Safety is a significant focus for Zeekr, with the 009 offering a comprehensive suite of driver assistance features. The vehicle includes a 7-airbag system, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree visual park assist system. Additionally, the MPV is equipped with forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot detection to enhance safety on the road.

The exterior design of the Zeekr 009 features a distinctive front grille and 20-inch aero-style alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport EV tyres. These tyres are engineered with a sound-dampening layer to reduce road noise, contributing to a quieter cabin environment. The exterior colour options include Crystal White Pearl as standard, with four additional pearl and metallic shades available at no extra cost.

For interior customisation, the standard finish is a Stone Black Nappa leather and Ultrasuede® combination. Optional two-tone and tri-tone finishes, including Stone Grey & Polar White and Jade Green, are also available at no additional cost, allowing customers to personalise their vehicles.

The Zeekr 009 is now open for pre-orders through Zeekr’s website, with deliveries expected to begin in early 2025. This model underscores Zeekr's commitment to expanding its footprint in the Australian electric vehicle market by offering luxury, performance, and advanced technology in one package.
