The 2026 BYD Atto 3 EVO has been priced for Australia from $41,990 before on-road costs, with two grades, revised styling, a refreshed cabin and a new rear-wheel-drive Premium flagship.

The updated electric SUV follows the earlier confirmation of the Atto 3 EVO for Australia, and keeps the familiar Dynamic and Premium grade names.
The Dynamic remains front-wheel drive, using a 60.48kWh BYD Blade LFP Battery, 150kW and 310Nm, with up to 420km of WLTP driving range.
The Premium switches to rear-wheel drive and uses a larger 74.88kWh Blade Battery, with outputs of 230kW and 380Nm.
BYD lists a 0-100km/h time of 5.5 seconds for the Premium, along with up to 510km of WLTP driving range.
Charging capability also differs between the two variants.
The Dynamic uses a 400V architecture with 7kW AC charging and up to 110kW DC charging, giving a 10 to 80 per cent charge time of 41 minutes.
The Premium uses BYD's e-Platform 3.0 EV architecture with 800V electrical hardware, 11kW AC charging and up to 220kW DC charging, cutting the 10 to 80 per cent charge time to 25 minutes.
Both variants include 3.3kW vehicle-to-load capability.
Exterior dimensions are unchanged at 4455mm long, 1875mm wide and 1615mm tall, with a 2720mm wheelbase.
Design changes include a revised front bumper, full-width daytime running lights, slimmer side skirts, full-width Chinese-knot LED tail-lights and a redesigned rear spoiler.
Both grades use 18-inch alloy wheels, with different designs for Dynamic and Premium.
Inside, the Atto 3 EVO gains a column-mounted gear selector, a new steering wheel, an 8.8-inch driver's display, redesigned door trims, multi-colour ambient lighting, split-type seats, a sunglass holder, rain-sensing wipers and a grey interior finish.
Wireless phone charging output rises from 15W to 50W.
Boot capacity is 434 litres in the Dynamic and 490 litres in the Premium, expanding to 1340 litres and 1360 litres respectively with the second row folded.
The Premium also adds a 101-litre front storage compartment under the bonnet.
New safety technology includes Child Presence Detection and a Driver Monitoring System, while the Premium adds Front Cross Traffic Alert and Front Cross Traffic Brake.
Standard Ski White paint is included, while Harbour Grey and Cosmos Black cost $600 on both grades.
Atlantis Grey is also available on the Premium for $600.
BYD's Australian warranty coverage is six years or 150,000km for the vehicle, eight years or 160,000km for the high-voltage traction battery, and eight years or 150,000km for the drive unit.
Scheduled servicing through the first five annual or 20,000km intervals is priced at $190, $375, $190, $465 and $190 for the Dynamic, and $190, $480, $190, $620 and $190 for the Premium.
At the entry point, the Atto 3 EVO sits close to the 2027 Xpeng L03 from $41,900 before on-road costs and the 2026 Geely EX5 from $41,990 before on-road costs, while the 2026 MG S5 EV starts from $40,490 drive-away.
