Hyundai Motor Company Australia has confirmed the 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 6 N is now on sale locally, priced from $115,000 before delivery and on-road costs.

The high-performance electric sedan arrives in a single grade and sits alongside the IONIQ 5 N in Hyundai's N electric vehicle line-up.

The local launch follows earlier CarSauce coverage in Hyundai IONIQ 6 N Confirmed for Australia in Early-2026 with Mind-Boggling 478kW Output.

Power comes from a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 448kW and 740Nm in standard form.

With N Grin Boost activated, output rises to 478kW and 770Nm for up to 10 seconds.

Hyundai claims a 0-100km/h time of 3.2 seconds when N Launch Control is used.

The IONIQ 6 N uses an 84kWh battery and has a claimed WLTP driving range of 487km.

Its 400V/800V charging architecture supports a claimed 10 to 80 per cent charge time of as little as 18 minutes on a suitable DC fast charger.

Chassis hardware includes stroke-sensing electronically controlled suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential, 20-inch forged alloy wheels and Pirelli P Zero tyres.

Braking hardware comprises four-piston monobloc front callipers with 400mm front discs and 360mm rear discs.

Hyundai says the body structure has additional weld points, more structural adhesive and rear bulkhead diagonal braces, with torsional stiffness increased by 19.8 per cent.

Aerodynamic changes include a front splitter, active grille shutter, underbody panels, rear diffuser and a swan-neck rear wing.

Hyundai quotes a 0.274 drag coefficient and says the rear wing can provide up to 100kg of downforce.

Inside, the IONIQ 6 N includes N lightweight sports seats, Alcantara and leather-appointed trim, an N-specific Pasubio steering wheel with N1 and N2 buttons, metal pedals and an N knee support pad.

The sedan also gains N e-Shift, N Active Sound+, N Drift Optimiser, N Torque Distribution, N Battery modes and N Track Manager.

Standard safety and driver assistance equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Highway Driving Assist 2.

Hyundai Bluelink connected services are included for the first five years of ownership, with over-the-air software update capability also listed.

The IONIQ 6 N is covered by Hyundai's seven-year/unlimited-kilometre vehicle warranty when servicing conditions are met, while the high-voltage battery is covered for eight years or 160,000km.
