Aston Martin has revealed the Valhalla Spider, pairing a 794kW plug-in hybrid powertrain with a removable roof and an electronically limited top speed of 350km/h.

Deliveries will begin in the third quarter of 2027, following its global debut at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas.

The Spider is Aston Martin’s first mid-engined, open-cockpit production supercar and can reach its maximum speed with the roof removed, making it the brand’s fastest open-cockpit model.

However, that speed capability depends on the roof configuration.
The removable black fabric roof is limited to 200km/h, while an optional carbon-fibre hardtop permits the full 350km/h.
The hardtop is standard in the United States, and a separate rain cover is provided for use when parked.

Power comes from the same system used in the Valhalla Coupe: a flat-plane-crank, 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors, producing a combined 1079PS, equivalent to approximately 794kW, and 1100Nm.

The V8 contributes approximately 609kW, with the electric motors adding around 185kW.
Two motors drive the front axle with electric torque vectoring, while the third works alongside the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission to assist the engine at the rear.

There is no mechanical connection between the front and rear axles.
An integrated dynamics controller coordinates the powertrain, suspension, braking, steering and active aerodynamics across four selectable driving modes.

The Valhalla Spider joins an open-top hybrid supercar field that includes the 2026 Ferrari 849 Testarossa Spider.
The Ferrari combines a V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain producing approximately 772kW with a retractable hardtop, rather than the Aston Martin’s removable roof.

To accommodate roof-off driving, Aston Martin has revised the Valhalla’s active aerodynamics and electronic stability control calibration.
Maximum downforce exceeds 600kg with the roof fitted.

A clip-in wind deflector directs air over the occupants while maintaining cooling airflow to the intake snorkel, which has been reshaped and raised by 35mm.
The deflector folds into three sections for storage in new sill compartments.

The Spider uses a version of the Coupe’s carbon-fibre tub developed by Aston Martin Performance Technologies, the consulting arm of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team.

Its carbon-fibre dihedral doors gain frameless glass and revised operating geometry, while a new carbon-fibre Touring Seat becomes standard.
Buyers can instead select the Coupe’s original carbon-fibre seat at no extra cost.

The Las Vegas debut will precede the start of Valhalla Spider deliveries between July and September 2027.
