German pricing starts at €38,200 (approximately $61,800 AUD) for the 125kW model with a 52kWh battery.
The A2 e-tron is positioned around efficiency, with Audi quoting energy consumption as low as 12.8kWh/100km on the WLTP cycle in the 140kW variant with the optional efficiency package.
The longest-range version is the 170kW model with an 84kWh battery, rated at up to 646km on the WLTP cycle.
It joins Audi’s broader electric push, which also includes models such as the Q6 Sportback e-tron.
Audi CEO Gernot Döllner said: “The A2 e-tron is more than a new model: It represents Audi’s renewal. It shows how we are rethinking premium for Europe: using resources more intelligently without compromising on quality, technology, or customer experience. Developed for the needs of our European customers and built in Ingolstadt, it demonstrates our ambition to shape the future of premium mobility.”
The A2 e-tron uses rear-wheel drive and permanent-magnet synchronous motors, with outputs spanning four variants.
Power starts at 125kW and 350Nm, rising to 240kW and 545Nm in the flagship version.
Three gross battery capacities are available: 52kWh, 61kWh and 84kWh.
The two smaller batteries use lithium iron phosphate chemistry, while the 84kWh battery uses nickel manganese cobalt chemistry and is fitted to the 170kW and 240kW variants.
Maximum DC charging capacity ranges from 100kW to 183kW, depending on the variant.
The 52kWh model charges from 10 to 80 per cent in 24 minutes, the 61kWh model takes 26 minutes, and the 84kWh models take 29 minutes.
| Variant | Power and torque | Battery | WLTP range | Consumption | DC charging | German price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| A2 e-tron 125kW | 125kW / 350Nm | 52kWh gross | Up to 423km | From 13.7kWh/100km | 100kW, 10-80 per cent in 24min | €38,200 |

| A2 e-tron 170kW | 170kW / 350Nm | 84kWh gross | Up to 646km | From 13.9kWh/100km | 183kW, 10-80 per cent in 29min | €48,900 |
| A2 e-tron 240kW | 240kW / 545Nm | 84kWh gross | Up to 630km | From 14.2kWh/100km | 183kW, 10-80 per cent in 29min | €51,200 |
Audi quotes a drag coefficient of 0.24, which it describes as the best figure in its compact segment.
Aerodynamic measures include a controllable cooling-air intake, a largely enclosed underbody, aero wheels and gap reducers integrated into the wheel-arch trim.
The A2 e-tron has a 2.77-metre wheelbase and a compact exterior footprint, with boot capacity listed at 396 litres or 1336 litres with the rear seatbacks folded.
A 13-litre front storage compartment is standard on the 170kW and 240kW variants.
Inside, the A2 e-tron uses a standard curved MMI panoramic display combining an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus and a 12.8-inch MMI touch display.
Standard digital features include Audi assistant with artificial intelligence and the e-tron route planner.
A Qi 2.2 wireless charging tray can charge two smartphones at up to 25 watts and uses magnets to hold devices in place.
Audi has also fitted the patented Fidlock magnetic fastening system as standard, with three modular adapters in the centre console and a matching cup holder.
An optional panoramic glass roof measures about 1.6 square metres.
Bidirectional charging is available as an option.
Vehicle-to-Load can power external devices from the boot power socket or via an adapter at the charging port, provided the high-voltage battery is at least 20 per cent charged.
Vehicle-to-Home is available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with a suitable DC wall box.
For Vehicle-to-Home operation, energy transfer between the car and home power grid is limited to a battery charge range between 20 and 80 per cent.
Standard driver assistance equipment includes emergency brake assist, swerve assist, attention assist, adaptive cruise control, parking system plus and a reversing camera.
Side assist with exit warning and rear cross-traffic assist are also standard.
Optional assistance features include adaptive cruise assist plus with emergency assist, surround-view cameras with 3D modelling, remote parking functions and trained parking for up to five stored manoeuvres.
The A2 e-tron is built at Audi’s home plant in Ingolstadt, where bodies are manufactured alongside the Audi A3.
Audi says the model uses more than 1200 existing manufacturing assets, including around 250 robots previously used for other Audi models.
The company also says the A2 e-tron reached market 21 months faster than comparable previous models.
Depending on configuration, the car uses more than 300 components made from recycled materials, including steel, aluminium and plastics.
More than 100 components contain post-consumer recycled materials.
The German launch begins in December 2026, with four rear-wheel-drive variants spanning 423km to 646km of WLTP range.
