Avatr 06T: Zeekr 7GT Rival Confirmed for Australia in 2027
Avatr has confirmed its 06T wagon for Australia in late 2027, joining the previously announced 07L electric SUV.
Avatr has confirmed the 06T wagon as its second Australian model, with the Zeekr 7GT rival scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2027.
Speaking with CarSauce, Changan Group Australia Head of Brand and Marketing Andrew Haurissa confirmed the new addition would follow the 07L electric SUV.

Until this interview, the 07L was the only Avatr model confirmed for Australia.
As CarSauce reported in September, Australian pre-orders for the 07L are scheduled to open before the end of 2026, with first customer deliveries targeted for the first half of 2027.
Haurissa reaffirmed that delivery window and identified the second half of 2027 for the 06T.
Australian pricing, powertrains and equipment for the wagon remain unannounced, but overseas specifications point to substantial performance potential.
Avatr lists a dual-motor rear-wheel-drive version producing up to 502kW and a three-motor all-wheel-drive version producing up to 712kW.
Claimed 0 - 100km/h times are 3.74 and 2.78 seconds respectively, measured in engineering tests with response time excluded.
Electric versions use an 800-volt platform and an 89.33kWh CATL battery, with maximum claimed range of 741km under China’s CLTC test cycle.
An overseas range-extender version has a 46.65kWh battery, with claimed CLTC electric and combined ranges of 330km and 1250km respectively.
Avatr quotes a 30 - 80 per cent charging time of less than 10 minutes for both battery types.
Published dimensions are 4940mm long, 1960mm wide and 1455mm high, with a 2940mm wheelbase.
Overseas equipment includes a 35.4 inch panoramic display, a 15.6 inch central touchscreen, a 25-speaker Meridian sound system and heated, ventilated and massaging front seats.
These figures and features have not been confirmed for Australia, while the CLTC range claims should not be treated as local real-world driving estimates.
The interview also did not confirm whether the range-extender version would be offered here.
Asked about the possibility of hybrid Avatr models reaching Australia, Haurissa said: “I never say never.”
“I think it all depends on what the other markets are looking for as well.”
The 06T confirmation forms part of a broader Australian expansion, with Haurissa indicating four or five models could be available by the end of 2028.
The T09 is also earmarked for that expansion, although its Australian specifications and detailed launch timing remain unannounced.
