The change follows Inchcape being named as DEEPAL's Australian distributor ahead of the brand's local launch, which CarSauce previously covered when Inchcape was appointed for DEEPAL electric vehicles.

Inchcape and Changan said they will continue working together through the handover, with a focus on staff, customers, dealers and partners.

All DEEPAL sales, servicing, warranty programs, logistics, parts, after sales and customer support will continue during the transition.

Existing customer orders will be honoured.

Customers will also continue to have access to factory-trained technicians, genuine DEEPAL parts, ongoing servicing support and diagnostic updates throughout the transition period.

What Inchcape and Changan said

Colin Christie, Managing Director, Inchcape Australasia, said: "We are proud of what we have achieved alongside Changan in establishing DEEPAL in Australia and helping build awareness of the brand with customers.
Through our partnership, we have shared valuable local market expertise and supported DEEPAL's successful introduction to the Australian market."

"We continue to focus on ensuring Inchcape has a portfolio of brands aligned with our strategic growth objectives, and I would like to thank Changan for its partnership and wish the brand continued success in the Australian market".

Bryan Guan, Managing Director, Changan Australia, said: "On behalf of Changan Australia, we thank Inchcape for its partnership in establishing the DEEPAL brand in Australia.
We appreciate the team’s professionalism and contribution to building brand awareness and creating a strong foundation for future growth."

"As DEEPAL enters its next phase in Australia, Changan will manage the transition with transparency, professionalism and respect, ensuring continuity for customers and confidence across the dealer network."

The change comes as DEEPAL continues to build its Australian presence with vehicles including the S07 SUV and the E07 Multitruck, with CarSauce previously covering the DEEPAL E07 Multitruck ahead of its local arrival.

Inchcape said the decision forms part of its standard approach to portfolio management, with the company continuing to review partnerships against its strategic growth objectives.

Inchcape also said it remains committed to the Australian market with a brand portfolio spanning passenger vehicles, SUVs, utes and trucks, across internal combustion, hybrid and electric powertrains.
