Price and powertrain
Range Rover's maximum recommended drive-away price is $179,990. Land Rover Australia says the offer runs while stocks last and doesn't apply to government, fleet or rental buyers.
The release doesn't list the engine. Land Rover Australia's pricing lists the Battersea Edition as a D250, which uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline six-cylinder mild-hybrid diesel making 183kW and 600Nm. It drives all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic. Claimed combined fuel use is 7.3L/100km and braked towing capacity is 3500kg.
The list price before on-road costs is $159,900, which is $8,300 more than the $151,600 D250 Dynamic SE it's based on.
What makes it a Battersea Edition
There are three exclusive paint colours:
- Firenze Red
- Fuji White
- Santorini Black
Inside, there's Pimento Red contrast stitching with matching red seatbelts, Natural Black veneer with Battersea Edition script, Battersea Edition treadplates and centre console badging.
Standard equipment
The Battersea Edition comes with a long list of standard equipment:
- Exterior: Privacy glass, black brake calipers, Soft Door Close and a sliding panoramic roof
- Seats: 20-way heated and ventilated memory front seats, plus heated power-reclining rear seats
- Cold Climate Convenience Pack: Heated steering wheel, heated windscreen and heated washer jets
- Technology Pack: ClearSight interior rear-view mirror, head-up display, domestic plug socket and Park Assist
- Audio and connectivity: Meridian 3D Surround Sound system and WiFi with data plan capability
How it sits in the range
Going by Land Rover Australia's list prices, the Battersea Edition sits between the D250 Dynamic SE at $151,600 and the more powerful D300 Dynamic SE and P380 Dynamic SE, both at $165,500 before on-roads. Buyers will have to decide whether the added equipment and unique trim are worth more to them than the extra power of a D300.
Tom Anderson, Head of Range Rover Australia, called it "a confident expression of contemporary luxury, a vehicle that blends heritage, performance and design into a singular, unmistakable statement."
