Three New Geely Plug-In Hybrids Confirmed For Australia In 2027

Geely Auto Australia has confirmed three new electrified models for Australia in 2027, with the Monjaro EM-i SUV, Emgrand L EM-i sedan and Battleship 700 off-road SUV joining its local rollout plans.
The Monjaro EM-i and Emgrand L EM-i are due in the first half of 2027, while the Battleship 700 is planned for the second half of the year.

All three vehicles are on display at Sydney’s Everything Electric Show from 18-20 September.
They represent three of the six Geely models set to launch in Australia in 2027.
By the end of 2027, Geely’s Australian portfolio is set to span small car, mid-size SUV, mid-size sedan and off-road SUV segments.
The expansion follows Geely’s existing local electrified rollout, including the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV and EX5 electric SUV.
Geely 2027 Australia line-up preview
The Monjaro EM-i is a five-seat plug-in hybrid SUV based on Geely’s GEA EVO platform.
It will use a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, two electric motors and a battery pack with up to 40kWh capacity.
Geely lists electric-only driving range at up to 170km on the WLTP cycle, with combined driving range of up to 1137km WLTP.
Front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations will be offered, along with a choice of 19-inch and 20-inch wheels.
The Monjaro EM-i will also feature Continuously Controlled Damping suspension and a chassis tuned by Geely Technology Europe.
Inside, the SUV will include a 15.4-inch touchscreen, a 25.6-inch ultra-wide head-up display, a surround-view monitor, massaging, ventilated and heated front seats, and heated rear seats.
Like the EX5 and Starray EM-i, the Monjaro EM-i will include vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle capability with up to 6.6kW output.
The Emgrand L EM-i will move Geely into the sedan segment in Australia.
The five-seat plug-in hybrid sedan will use a system similar to the Starray EM-i SUV, with an 18.4kWh battery pack, more than 80km of electric-only range and more than 1000km of combined WLTP range.
Geely lists output at more than 180kW and torque at more than 250Nm.
Five exterior colours will be available: Alpine White, Cloudveil Silver, Polar Black, Volcanic Grey and Glacier Blue.
Upper-trim versions will offer two interior upholstery colours, including a black and brown option.
The Battleship 700 is a five-seat off-road-focused SUV with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain.
Overseas, it uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a 47kWh battery pack and a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system with an integrated differential lock.
Combined output is listed at 830kW, while electric-only driving range is up to 170km.
The Battleship 700 features 20-inch wheels, 233mm of ground clearance and an 800mm wading depth.
It also includes a ‘Waltz’ U-Turn function for on-the-spot manoeuvrability.
Inside, the off-road SUV features a panoramic sunroof, 12.3-inch and 15.6-inch screens, a centre-console heating and cooling compartment, independent rear air-conditioning and a 23-speaker sound system.
Australian specification for the Battleship 700 will be detailed closer to its planned launch in the second half of 2027.

Geely is also running a limited pre-order offer for the Monjaro EM-i and Emgrand L EM-i from 18-30 September.
Customers who place a $200 holding deposit during that period are eligible for a complimentary EV home charger and complimentary premium paint upgrade valued at $600.
Monjaro EM-i customers can also receive a complimentary suede-like upholstery upgrade on AWD variants.
