The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet replaces the C-Class and E-Class convertibles in the Australian market, similar to how the CLE Coupe succeeded their coupe versions.

Available in a single specification, the CLE300 4Matic Cabriolet is priced at $135,900 before on-road costs, which is $11,000 more than the equivalent Coupe version.

The CLE300 4Matic Cabriolet includes a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 190kW and 400Nm, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

A 48-volt mild-hybrid system provides an additional 17kW/205Nm boost during acceleration and facilitates a smoother operation of the engine stop-start system.

Key features include adaptive LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, and AMG Line styling. Inside, it has leather seats with a neck heating system and a wind deflector.

The infotainment system comprises an 11.9-inch touchscreen that tilts to reduce glare and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

The CLE Cabriolet offers 295L of boot space with the roof down, which is 50L more than the previous C-Class Cabriolet.

The roof can be operated at speeds up to 60km/h, taking 20 seconds to open or close.

Safety features include 10 airbags, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Active Cruise Control, and Traffic Sign Assist.

The CLE300 4Matic Cabriolet is now available for order in Australia.

There is also a preview of the Mercedes-AMG CLE53 Cabriolet internationally, although it is not yet confirmed for the Australian market.
