The 2024 Mercedes-Maybach EQS680 SUV is now open for orders in Australia, with initial deliveries scheduled for July.

This model, positioned as a high-end electric SUV, starts at a price of $328,607 before on-road costs.

It stands as the most expensive electric vehicle offered by Mercedes-Benz in the Australian market, though it does not surpass the price of the Maybach S680 limousine or the Rolls-Royce Spectre, which is the priciest electric car available in Australia.

Powered by dual electric motors, the EQS680 generates 484kW and 950Nm of torque.

It features a 107.8kWh battery, consistent with the standard EQS SUV, and is capable of reaching a driving range of up to 662 kilometres on the NEDC scale.

The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is clocked at 4.4 seconds, and the SUV supports DC fast charging which can recharge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 31 minutes.

The interior of the EQS680 includes two executive rear seats with advanced features such as ventilation, massage functions, and heating.

The vehicle is equipped with dual 11.6-inch touchscreens, power-operated sun blinds, and a configuration that automatically adjusts the front passenger seat when the rear-left seat is reclined.

An additional First Class Rear Suite package can be added for $14,900, enhancing the rear seating area with luxury amenities.

Technology features within the SUV include a MBUX Hyperscreen dashboard equipped with three screens and Maybach-specific graphics, along with a panoramic sunroof and an augmented reality head-up display.

The seats are upholstered in vegetable-tanned leather and the cabin includes extensive noise-reduction measures such as encapsulated motors and laminated glass.

Externally, the EQS680 is distinguishable by its Maybach-specific front and rear bumpers, a Mercedes-Benz star on the bonnet, chrome details, and 22-inch wheels.

A two-tone paint option is available for $34,800, and a Night Edition package offers additional unique features for $34,900.

With its luxury-focused specifications and pricing, the 2024 Mercedes-Maybach EQS680 SUV represents a premium option within the electric vehicle segment in Australia.
