BMW has announced changes to the pricing and features of its 2025 3 Series lineup.

The updated range will be available in Australia by the end of this year, starting at $89,900 before on-road costs, which is a $4800 reduction from the previous model.

The exterior updates include a new steering wheel design and new 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there are new adjustment knobs for the air-conditioning vents and 'cascade' lighting around the central vent.

The 3 Series now uses BMW Operating System 8.5 for the infotainment system, offering revised ventilation and climate control functions, a new menu structure, and customisable shortcut widgets.

The standard features for the 2025 models include a sunroof, heated steering wheel, and heated front seats.

BMW has also retuned the 3 Series chassis, including stiffer mounts connecting the rear dampers to the body, aiming to improve ride comfort while maintaining handling characteristics.

The 2025 lineup includes three variants: the 330i sedan and wagon, and the M340i xDrive sedan.

The 330i sedan is priced at $89,900, the 330i Touring at $92,900, and the M340i xDrive sedan at $114,900.

These prices represent a $4800 and $6000 reduction for the 330i models, respectively, and an $8700 increase for the M340i.

The 330i features a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 190kW and 400Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

It achieves 0-100km/h in 5.8 seconds for the sedan and 6.1 seconds for the Touring.

The M340i xDrive is equipped with a 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine delivering 285kW and 500Nm, with a 0-100km/h time of 4.4 seconds.

BMW Australia has not confirmed any changes to fuel economy. Current figures are 6.5L/100km for the 330i sedan and 8.0L/100km for the M340i xDrive.

The dimensions for the sedan and Touring models remain consistent, with a length of 4713mm, a width of 1827mm, and a wheelbase of 2851mm.

Boot space for the sedan is 480L, while the Touring offers 500-1510L.

Servicing details are yet to be announced, but BMW continues to offer a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
