2025 Honda Civic Facelift Unveiled with Updated Features and Changes

2025 Honda Civic Facelift Unveiled with Updated Features and Changes

The 2025 Honda Civic has undergone a facelift in the United States, indicating potential updates for the Australian market in the future.

This update includes a revised exterior with a redesigned front bumper and new headlight garnishes on higher-end models.

The range now features four new exterior colours, with specific colours exclusive to certain models.

Internally, the latest U.S. model introduces technological advancements with Google-integrated functionalities such as Maps and Assistant available in the top-tier models.

The hybrid version, which pairs a 2.0-liter engine with dual electric motors, has been introduced in the U.S., following its earlier release in other markets including Australia.

In terms of sales, the Civic has experienced a decline from previous highs, despite an increased starting price for the latest model.

The refresh also brings new design elements like an 18-inch machined wheel and updated grille design.

However, these changes in the U.S. model may not all be applicable to the Australian market, as the Australian Civics are manufactured in Japan.

The U.S. lineup has removed the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, replacing it with a 2.0-liter non-turbo engine.

There are hints of a new 'RS' model in Japan that would feature a more powerful engine and a manual transmission, which are not currently available in Australia.

Should Chinese Cars Be Banned in Australia?

Banning Chinese cars in Australia makes no sense. With no local car industry to protect, tariffs would only hurt consumers and limit choice.
