2025 Kia EV5 Australian Price & Specs Unveiled

The Kia EV5 has officially launched in Australia, offering a new all-electric mid-sized SUV with competitive pricing. The entry-level Air Standard Range starts at $56,770 driveaway, while the top-tier GT-Line AWD is priced at $75,990 driveaway.

Available in three trims—Air, Earth, and GT-Line—the EV5 provides both standard and long-range battery options. The Air variant features a 64.2 kWh battery for standard range, or an 88.1 kWh battery for long range. Earth and GT-Line trims come with an 88.1 kWh battery and an all-wheel-drive configuration.

The EV5 is built on Kia's N3-ek platform and features extensive local tuning to suit Australian road conditions. The exterior design includes a wide nose, a solid bonnet, 'Star Map' signature lighting, and rugged lower skid plates. Its SUV silhouette embraces Kia's Opposites United design language, combining familiar elements with unique styling cues.

Inside, the EV5 takes cues from the larger EV9 model, incorporating dual 12.3-inch displays, a new graphical user interface, and Kia Connect features. Climate control is seamlessly integrated into the panoramic driver display, contributing to an intuitive user experience.

Standard features across the range include over-the-air (OTA) updates and Shift-by-Wire (SBW) technology. The Earth and GT-Line trims add convenience with a Smart Power Tailgate. The GT-Line also features an Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR-HUD), Remote Smart Park Assist 2 (RSPA 2), and a fingerprint module for added functionality.

All grades of the EV5 are equipped with safety technology, such as Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2) and a centre side airbag. Additional safety features, like a Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM), are available on the GT-Line trim.

The EV5 is offered in a variety of exterior colours, with two-tone options exclusive to the GT-Line. The Earth trim also includes a Nougat Beige interior option, available with specific exterior colours.
