Australia’s Top 10 Best-Selling Vehicles of January 2025

The Toyota RAV4 has topped the monthly sales chart in Australia, despite a new model being just around the corner.

VFACTS data released by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) – a group composed of the majority of car manufacturers – shows the Toyota RAV4 has taken the podium in the Top 10 best-selling vehicles for January 2025, ahead of the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux.

The Toyota HiLux was Australia’s top-selling vehicle for seven consecutive years to 2023, at which point the new-generation Ford Ranger began to overtake the Toyota ute – with the two swapping places during a nine-month battle.

Annually, the Ranger has been Australia’s most popular vehicle ever since.

Giving Toyota three of the Top Five positions is the recently-launched LandCruiser Prado, sitting ahead of the Mitsubishi Outlander in fifth.
