Genesis presented the X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo (VGT) Concept at the Busan International Mobility Show 2024 (BIMOS).
This marks its initial public display in Korea.
This concept is part of the Genesis Magma program and is included in the Gran Turismo digital racing game series.
The redesigned Genesis Electrified G80, first shown at the 2024 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, also made its Korean debut at BIMOS.
Additionally, the Genesis Neolun Concept was introduced in Asia for the first time after its global premiere in New York.
The X Gran Racer VGT Concept, based on the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Concept, features active aerodynamic elements such as adjustable flaps and a flat underbody.
The vehicle includes a Two-Line Crest Grille lamp design and other components aimed at enhancing stability and performance.
The car’s design includes an elongated dash-to-axle ratio and a mid-engine layout, alongside a long wheelbase and short front overhangs.
Voluminous fenders and parabolic lines define its silhouette. The rear integrates aerodynamic elements, contributing to its overall design.
The Magma colour and carbon fibre elements are also notable.
The interior design follows Genesis' "Beauty of White Space" philosophy, focusing on minimalism and functionality.
The interior features structural elements to reduce weight, an integrated roll cage, and control switches in a structural divider.
A Digital Panorama Interface displays essential vehicle information.
Carbon fibre accents and quilted padding are used in the interior, and a high-performance racing yoke replaces the traditional steering wheel, aimed at providing intuitive control.
The powertrain includes a front mid-mounted race-spec Lambda II V6 engine with Genesis’ electric supercharger technology, delivering 1,540 horsepower and 1,051 pound-feet of torque, an increase from the previous X Gran Berlinetta Concept.
The Neolun Concept, Genesis’ first full-size electric SUV, features technological elements such as B-pillarless coach doors and swivelling front-row seats.
The exterior has a two-tone colour scheme inspired by Korea’s night sky.
The redesigned Electrified G80, the first update since its debut three years ago, includes the G-Matrix Crest Grille, Micro Lens Array headlamps, and a refined bumper.
The longer wheelbase provides a more spacious second-row area with features for passenger comfort.
The Genesis booth at BIMOS, located at Exhibition Center 1 in the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO), will be open to the public from June 28 to July 7, displaying seven cars including the X Gran Racer VGT Concept, Neolun Concept, and redesigned Electrified G80s.
