GWM Ora Now Australia's Cheapest New Electric car

GWM Ora Now Australia's Cheapest New Electric car

The GWM Ora, an electric vehicle, is now available in Australia with a starting National Driveaway price of $35,990 as announced on April 4, 2024. This pricing adjustment aligns with GWM's strategy to offer competitive pricing in the electric vehicle market.

GWM's initiative reflects its ongoing adjustment to its New Energy Vehicle (NEV) strategy, aimed at broadening its electric and hybrid vehicle offerings. This approach considers the current and expected future demand for such vehicles.

The company's Australian NEV lineup includes the Ora, among five models, alongside hybrids like the Jolion, H6, Tank 300, and Tank 500. These are available through GWM's network of 95 dealers. Plans to investigate the addition of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) to the lineup are underway, aiming to expand the available NEV options for consumers.

GWM Ora

  • Ora Standard Range (310km range): $35,990
  • Ora Extended Range (420km range): $40,990
  • Ora Ultra (420km range): $43,990
  • Ora GT (400km range): $46,990

The adjustment in Ora pricing is a result of GWM taking advantage of favorable exchange rates and supply chain conditions. GWM aims to maintain a balance of technology, comfort, safety, and value within its range of vehicles.
