Mazda Announces First-Ever CX-80 to Join its Australian Line-up!

20 March 2023 - Mazda Australia has confirmed the addition of the first-ever Mazda CX-80 to its lineup, as the third model in the brand's new Large Product family. The CX-80 will contribute to the expansion and diversification of Mazda's range, offering customers a wider selection of options.

Mazda Australia Managing Director, Vinesh Bhindi, emphasized the importance of the CX-80 in further developing the brand's premium product portfolio. The upcoming SUV is said to incorporate the notable attributes of both the CX-60 and CX-90 models.

The introduction of the CX-80 signals the end of the Mazda CX-9's time at the top of the current model range. With more than seven years on the market and over 50,000 sales in the current generation, the CX-9 has been a significant contributor to the brand's success.

Mazda Australia Marketing Director, Alastair Doak, acknowledged the CX-9's lasting impact, highlighting its quality, versatility, timeless design, and driving dynamics. He expressed confidence that the CX-80, along with the CX-60 and CX-90, will continue refining and advancing these qualities as part of Mazda's latest offerings.

Further information on the first-ever Mazda CX-80, including introductory dates, will be announced later this year.
