The 2025 Ram 1500 has been introduced by Ram Truck, showcasing the new Hurricane engine family as an alternative to the previous V8 engines.
The lineup includes a 3.0-liter Hurricane engine, offering 313 kilowatts (420 horsepower), and a high-output version providing 403 kilowatts (540 horsepower). Additionally, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 eTorque, an award-winning engine, remains as an option within the lineup.
The new Hurricane engine family aims to deliver a blend of performance and improved fuel economy. The standard Hurricane engine produces 636 Newton-meters (469 lb.-ft.) of torque, while the high-output variant generates 706 Newton-meters (521 lb.-ft.). These engines join the existing 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 eTorque engine, which is part of the Ram 1500 engine offerings.
The upcoming 2025 model includes various trim levels, with the Tungsten edition representing the highest level of luxury within the range. The vehicle's technology package is headlined by the Uconnect 5 system, featuring touchscreen interfaces, with the largest being a 14.5-inch display.
In the third quarter of 2024, Ram plans to release the Ram 1500 RHO, which will be equipped with the high-output Hurricane engine.
This model is a strategic step in the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 plan, focusing on reducing emissions and moving towards a sustainable automotive future.
An all-electric variant, the Ram 1500 REV, is slated to follow later in 2024, which will be complemented by the Ram 1500 Ramcharger, offering additional range and electric vehicle options.
The 2025 Ram 1500's design has been refreshed, emphasizing a modern and aerodynamic profile. The interior is available in various configurations, highlighting different materials and advanced technological features, such as a passenger-side screen and a Klipsch audio system.
Safety is a major focus for the new Ram 1500, with over 100 available safety features. The addition of a high-torque rear axle aims to augment the vehicle's performance, particularly for models with the high-output engine.
The manufacturing of the 2025 Ram 1500 will take place in Sterling Heights, Michigan, with dealership arrivals expected in the first quarter of 2024. Pricing will be released closer to the availability date.
