You do? Queensland Man to Marry Ford XY Falcon

It’s the age-old story: Man buys car, man falls in love with car, man marries car.

That’s exactly what’s happening with Giz from Daisy Hill, who apparently has plans to enter into marriage with his 1971 Ford XY Falcon.

Speaking to Triple M’s Breakfast radio show in Brisbane, Giz admitted his love of the Falcon – to the point where he carries around a photo of the classic Ford in his wallet. But has none of his actual children.

After being outed on radio, Giz agreed to come and marry his XY Falcon live on the show this coming Valentine’s Day – that’s the 14th of February 2025, for those who have forgotten.

Despite already being married to a real-life human woman (we presume), the Falcon enthusiast said he was looking forward to the pending nuptials.

The groom was dobbed in by his mate Ben, who said Giz had been caught locking himself in the shed in the past, sliding under the car to “polish the fuel lines”.

The XY Falcon is one of several cars in Giz’s collection, with the others being a Ford EA Falcon and a Holden Torana hatchback racecar – his weekend girlfriend, he says.

The engaged couple are registered at Supercheap Auto, Loganholme.
