The 2027 LDV T60 ute will arrive in Australian showrooms in October with a new diesel engine, revised styling, a refreshed cabin and a simplified two-variant range.

Prices start from $37,990 drive-away for ABN holders for the entry-level T60 PRO, while private buyer pricing starts from $39,989 drive-away.

The higher-grade T60 LUXE is priced from $42,990 drive-away for ABN holders and $45,253 drive-away for private buyers.

The updated T60 now uses the same 2.5-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine as the larger LDV Terron 9, producing 163kW at 3800rpm and 520Nm from 1500 to 2500rpm.

It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and selectable 2WD, 4H and 4L modes.

Fuel use is rated at 8.0L/100km for the T60 PRO and 8.2L/100km for the T60 LUXE under ADR 81/02 testing.

The model year update brings new bodywork from the windscreen forward, including a new front fascia that follows the design theme introduced on the Terron 9 ute.

Both variants receive a standard Black Pack, covering the grille, bumpers, door handles, roof rails, side steps and side mirror scalps in black.

Inside, the T60 gains a redesigned dashboard, a 12.8-inch infotainment screen and an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster.

The gear selector has moved to the centre console, while the indicator stalk is now mounted on the right-hand side of the steering column.

The 2027 update follows earlier changes to the LDV T60 ute, with LDV noting this is the third engine update and second facelift for the current-generation model in Australia.

Since this generation T60 went on sale locally in late 2017, more than 46,000 examples have been sold in Australia, based on VFACTS data from the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries.

The T60 continues to be sold alongside the larger Terron 9, giving LDV two diesel ute lines at different price points and sizes.

Because the updated model carries over the same rear pick-up bodywork, ute tub accessories from the previous T60 will fit the new model.

"The PRO version equipped with leaf-spring rear suspension is designed to appeal to customers with an emphasis on load-carrying."
