Nissan Australia has confirmed orders for the all-new Y63 Nissan Patrol will open later this month, ahead of first customer deliveries in the first quarter of 2027.

The next-generation flagship 4x4 will arrive with a new 3.5-litre twin-turbo petrol V6, replacing the previous Patrol powertrain with a 317kW and 700Nm setup matched to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Nissan says the new engine delivers six per cent more power and 25 per cent more torque than its predecessor, with outputs up by 19kW and 140Nm.

The local timing follows the global reveal of the seventh-generation Patrol, which introduced the Y63 as the first all-new Patrol generation in more than a decade.

"For decades the Patrol has been a symbol of go-anywhere capability and trust, and it holds a special place with Australian customers," said Steve Milette, Managing Director, Nissan Oceania.

"The all-new Y63 Patrol honours that heritage while taking a significant leap forward.

More powerful, more polished and more capable than ever before, we can't wait to put it in our customers' hands early next year."

The twin-turbo V6 also uses a scavenger oil pump, with Nissan saying the system is designed to maintain engine lubrication during extreme off-road driving, including steep inclines and off-camber terrain.

Select grades will offer Adaptive Air Suspension for the first time on Patrol, paired with Intelligent Dynamic Damping using e-Damper technology.

The suspension can raise the vehicle in Off-Road Mode to improve approach, breakover and departure angles, while lowering the vehicle in Park to make entry, exit and cargo loading easier.

At highway speeds, the system automatically lowers the vehicle above 90km/h and raises it again below 70km/h, with Nissan linking the function to fuel economy and cruising comfort.

Inside, select grades will add Biometric Cooling, which Nissan describes as a Patrol and segment first.

The system monitors passenger temperatures upon entry and, when activated at vehicle start-up, adjusts climate control settings to help cool the cabin.

Other available cabin features include front-seat massage functionality, zero-gravity seats for the first and second rows, a Monolith display layout and, on select grades, dual 14.3-inch screens.

A head-up display will also be available on selected variants, projecting key driving information into the driver’s line of sight.

Select Patrol variants will be offered with a 12-speaker Klipsch audio system developed with Panasonic Automotive, using a 12-channel, 600-watt amplifier.

The Patrol nameplate turns 75 globally in 2026, having launched in Japan in 1951 before arriving in Australia in 1961.

Australian model grades, final specifications and pricing will be announced closer to launch.
