Ford Brings Back The Everest Wildtrak, And Only 1,000 Are Coming To Australia
Ford has added a Wildtrak special edition to the Everest range, with V6 diesel power, unique styling and about 1,000 for Australia.
Ford Australia has announced the return of the Wildtrak nameplate to the Everest line-up as a limited-run special edition for 2026, with around 1,000 units planned for Australia and production due to begin in May 2026.
The new variant arrives after Ford reshuffled the Everest range for MY26.5, deleting the Ambiente and Trend badges and reducing the line-up to Active, Sport, Tremor and Platinum grades.
Ford says the Wildtrak will sit above the Everest Sport, giving the range another V6-powered special edition within the simplified Everest line-up.
Power comes from Ford’s 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine matched with full-time four-wheel drive. Pricing starts from a recommended manufacturer list price of $79,990 before on-road costs, which also matches the Everest Tremor.
Compared with the Tremor, the Wildtrak appears to lean more heavily into cosmetic changes and touring-focused equipment. It brings gloss black exterior trim, Ignite Orange accents, 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic roof, power-folding third row and Matrix LED headlamps, while the Tremor remains the more off-road-focused member of the Everest range.
Factory options listed by Ford include Prestige Paint for $750 and a Premium Towing Pack for $2,500, while an 18-inch alloy wheel and all-terrain tyre package will be offered as a no-cost option.
Standard exterior details include gloss black trim, Ignite Orange accents and 20-inch alloy wheels with all-season tyres.
Inside, the Everest Wildtrak includes leather-accented seats with Wildtrak lettering and contrast orange stitching, along with a panoramic roof, ambient lighting and a power-folding third row.
Ford has also fitted Matrix LED headlamps with auto-levelling and dynamic bending functions, while the Tremor previously gained a standard 360-degree camera and premium seat pack with heated and ventilated power seats.
Ford Australia marketing director Ambrose Henderson said, “The Everest Wildtrak enables our customers to boldly conquer their next adventure.” He also said the model “is designed for those who want to stand out and aspire to an active, youthful lifestyle.”

FAQs
Ford Australia says production of the 2026 Ford Everest Wildtrak will commence in May 2026, with around 1,000 units allocated for the Australian market. That makes it a limited-run special edition within the Everest range, so buyers interested in the V6 diesel Everest Wildtrak should plan ahead and speak with dealers early about allocation and timing.
The 2026 Ford Everest Wildtrak is priced from a recommended manufacturer list price of $79,990 before on-road costs in Australia. That puts it level with the Everest Tremor and below the flagship Everest Platinum ($83,490 before on-roads). Buyers should factor in state-based on-road costs such as stamp duty, registration and dealer delivery when calculating the drive-away price.
The Ford Everest Wildtrak is powered by Ford’s 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine, paired with a full-time four-wheel-drive system. This V6 diesel is shared with higher-grade Everest variants and is aimed at buyers who want strong towing performance and relaxed long-distance touring. Full-time 4WD enhances on-road stability and traction, while still offering low-range capability for off-road driving.
The Everest Wildtrak and Everest Tremor sit at a similar price point but target different buyers. The Wildtrak leans towards style and touring, with gloss black exterior trim, Ignite Orange accents, 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic roof, ambient lighting and a power-folding third row. The Tremor is positioned as the more off-road-focused Everest, with equipment tuned for rougher terrain rather than cosmetic upgrades. Both use the 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel and full-time 4WD, but the Wildtrak is aimed at those who want a more premium, lifestyle-oriented SUV that still has strong capability.
Key standard features on the 2026 Ford Everest Wildtrak include a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine, full-time 4WD, gloss black H-Bar front bumper and grille bar, Ignite Orange grille “nostrils”, 20-inch black alloy wheels with Ignite Orange inserts and all-season tyres. Inside, it gains leather-accented seats with WILDTRAK lettering and orange contrast stitching, a panoramic roof with power blind, ambient lighting and a power-folding third row. It also comes with Matrix LED headlamps featuring auto-levelling and dynamic bending functions, enhancing night-time visibility and safety for touring and family use.
Ford offers several options for the Everest Wildtrak in Australia. Prestige Paint is available for $750, while a Premium Towing Pack costs $2,500 for buyers who prioritise caravan or trailer towing. A notable inclusion is a no-cost option to swap the standard 20-inch alloy wheels and all-season tyres for 18-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tyres, finished in Asphalt Black with Ignite Orange accents. This allows buyers to tailor the Wildtrak towards more off-road-focused driving without increasing the purchase price.
