Zeekr 7GT Specs Previewed For Australia With 500kW Performance AWD
Zeekr has previewed 7GT shooting brake specs ahead of its Australian launch, including up to 655km WLTP range and 500kW AWD performance.
Zeekr has previewed specifications for the 7GT shooting brake ahead of its Australian launch in the coming months.
The electric wagon-style model will be offered in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive form, with the top-spec Performance AWD variant producing 500 kW and accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
Zeekr showed the 7GT at an event in New Zealand, where the brand described the model as a “tech-enhanced sportswagon”.
The range will open with an entry RWD variant offering more than 500 km of WLTP range, followed by a Long Range RWD with 655 km and a Performance AWD with more than 550 km.
Zeekr 7GT preliminary specifications
The entry rear-wheel-drive 7GT uses a Zeekr-engineered 75 kWh Golden Brick lithium iron phosphate battery pack.
It supports a 10 to 80 per cent charge in 13 minutes and uses a 335 kW rear motor, with a 0-100 km/h time of 6.5 seconds.
The Long Range RWD moves to a 100 kWh CATL-supplied Qilin nickel-manganese-cobalt battery pack.
That version keeps the same 335 kW output, cuts the 0-100 km/h time to 5.5 seconds and supports peak charging speeds of up to 450 kW.
Those peak charging speeds cannot currently be achieved at any fast-charging station in Australia, though compatible sites are on the way.
The Performance AWD adds a second electric motor for dual-motor all-wheel drive, with 500 kW and a 3.5-second 0-100 km/h claim.
Its WLTP range is more than 550 km, with the lower range figure compared with the Long Range RWD linked to the added motor.
| Variant | Drive | Battery | Power | WLTP range | 0-100 km/h | Charging |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7GT RWD | Rear-wheel drive | 75 kWh Golden Brick LFP | 335 kW | More than 500 km | 6.5 seconds | 10 to 80 per cent in 13 minutes |
| 7GT Long Range RWD | Rear-wheel drive | 100 kWh CATL Qilin NMC | 335 kW | 655 km | 5.5 seconds | Up to 450 kW peak, 15-minute charge |
| 7GT Performance AWD | All-wheel drive | Not specified | 500 kW | More than 550 km | 3.5 seconds | Not specified |
Zeekr has recorded more than 12,000 deliveries in Australia since the brand launched locally in October 2024.
The 7GT will follow the 7X SUV, which has been a major volume driver for the brand and has already been the subject of strong local demand, including 7X wait times.
Pricing will be central to where the 7GT lands in Australia, particularly given the wagon-style EV body shape remains uncommon compared with electric SUVs.
More local details are expected closer to launch.
