2025 Mitsubishi Triton GSR Special Edition Ute Launches

2025 Mitsubishi Triton GSR Special Edition Ute Launches

The 2025 Mitsubishi Triton GSR Special Edition has been announced for the Australian market, offering a changed look with a slightly lower price.

Mitsubishi is offering the Triton GSR Special Edition for $63,140 before on-road costs – a $700 discount over the standard Triton GSR.

However, rather than gaining new features, the GSR Special Edition drops the chunky wheel arches found on the GSR, and swaps the plastic sailplane for a black steel sports bar with wings.

The company says the removal of the wheel arches allows for greater customisation with parts from the Mitsubishi Genuine Accessories brochure.

However, the rest of the Special Edition is pure GSR, with a black leather interior with contrast orange stitching, power driver’s seat, keyless entry and start, dual-zone climate control, and a 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Buyers also get LED headlights and 18-inch black alloy wheels.

As with the rest of the Triton range, the GSR Special Edition is powered by a 2.4-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder diesel engine producing 150kW and 470Nm, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with low-range four-wheel drive.

Black Mica and Graphite Grey exterior paint are no-cost options, or Yamabuki Orange and White Diamond paint can be chosen for $200 extra.

Despite the Special Edition name, Mitsubishi hasn’t revealed whether the model will be a permanent part of the Triton line-up or if it’s limited by time or numbers.

The 2025 Mitsubishi Triton GSR Special Edition comes with the brand’s ‘service-activated’ 10-year/200,000km factory warranty – provided the vehicle is serviced by Mitsubishi – along with 10 years of capped-price servicing and a conditional 12 years of roadside assistance.
