Tesla Cybercab Australia Tour Confirmed For 2026
Tesla Cybercab will tour Australian and New Zealand Tesla locations from September 2026, but Tesla says it is a showcase, not a robotaxi launch.
Tesla Cybercab will tour Tesla locations across Australia and New Zealand in 2026 and 2027, giving local audiences a first look at the brand’s purpose-built autonomous vehicle.
The Cybercab tour starts in Sydney on 21 September 2026, before moving through Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, with Auckland to follow in 2027.
Tesla describes the tour as a showcase, not a local robotaxi launch.
Visitors will be able to see Cybercab up close, speak with Tesla advisors and book a test drive to experience Full Self-Driving (Supervised) in a Model 3 or Model Y.
Full Self-Driving (Supervised) is available in Australia and New Zealand, with the driver remaining responsible and ready to intervene while the vehicle navigates city streets, highways, intersections and parking.
Tesla says Australia and New Zealand were the first right-hand-drive markets globally to receive Full Self-Driving (Supervised).
CarSauce recently reported that Zurich had added Full Self-Driving (Supervised) as a rating factor for Tesla FSD owners through InsureMyTesla in Australia.

Cybercab has been designed without a steering wheel or pedals, with a two-passenger cabin rather than a traditional driver-focused cockpit.
Tesla lists dihedral doors, a sculpted aerodynamic body and wireless inductive charging among the vehicle’s key features.
The vehicle is powered by Tesla’s vision-based AI, using the same hardware found in Model 3 and Model Y.
“Cybercab is the destination.
Model 3 and Model Y are how Australians and New Zealanders get there today,” said Thom Drew, Tesla Country Director.
Drew said visitors should understand Cybercab as the future of the same autonomous technology they can already experience through Full Self-Driving (Supervised).
The tour positions Cybercab as a physical preview of Tesla’s driverless vehicle ambitions, while keeping the local focus on supervised autonomy in the brand’s current passenger-car range.
