The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan is set to arrive in Australia in May 2025, with three engines available across three variants.
While pricing for the medium SUV is set to be announced closer to its launch, Volkswagen says the all-new Tiguan will deliver value for buyers – along with build quality akin to its bigger sibling, the Touareg.
Buyers will have a choice of a Tiguan 110TSI Life, 110TSI Elegance, 150TSI Elegance, 150TSI R-Line, and the sporty range-topping 195TSI R-Line.
The base 110TSI engine is believed to be a carry-over from the outgoing model, with 110kW and 250Nm derived from the familiar 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.
Both the 150TSI and 195TSI are based on a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine in different states of tune, coupled with all-wheel drive.
The new Tiguan now allows buyers to option the base model with the higher-spec Elegance variant, with chrome exterior trims, rear privacy tint, LED Plus headlights and illuminated grille, LED tail-lights, and powered comfort sports seats in leather with heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
Buyers can also option a panoramic sunroof and the Sound & Vision package, which includes a head-up display and a Harman Kardon sound system.
This, in addition to keyless entry and start, a digital instrument display, wireless smartphone charging, a powered tailgate, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen with satellite navigation, wireless App-Connect, DAB+ digital radio, and 360-degree cameras – all of which are standard equipment on the base Tiguan 110TSI Life.
Those stepping up to the 150TSI Elegance also get HD Matrix LED headlights with adaptive high-beams, LED Plus tail-lights with sweeping indicators, adaptive chassis control, and a 15-inch infotainment screen with Discover Pro Max navigation.
Sitting below the Elegance is the 150TSI R-Line, which gets LED PLus headlights, premium LED tail-lights with sweeping indicators, adaptive chassis control, progressive steering, sports seats in special cloth upholstery, an R-Line bodykit, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
A panoramic sunroof and the South & Vision package can also be optioned.
At the pointy end of the line-up with the Tiguan 195TSI R-Line, which gains powered comfort sports seats in leather with memory, heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
The model also gets the larger 15-inch infotainment system with Discover Pro Max navigation, head-up display, HD Matrix headlights, dynamic light assist, premium LED tail-lights with sweeping indicators, an R-Line body-kit, and 20-inch ‘Leeds’ alloy wheels.
Full pricing and specifications for the all-new 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan range are expected to become available closer to the model’s launch in May 2025.
