Volkswagen Polo and T-Roc: New Pricing and Features

Volkswagen Polo and T-Roc: New Pricing and Features

The 2025 Volkswagen Polo and T-Roc have received new features – but the changes come at a price.

The entry-level Polo Life is now priced from $30,790 before on-road costs – an increase of $1300 – marking the first time Volkswagen hasn’t had a vehicle on sale for less than $30,000 in Australia.

However, as part of the price rise, the Polo Life now comes with adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist as standard.

Priced at $34,790 before on-road costs – an increase of $2250 – the mid-range Polo Style now comes with keyless entry and start, native satellite navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging.

Both the Polo Life and Style city hatches are powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine, sending 85kW and 200Nm to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

While the range-topping Polo GTI remains unchanged, the price has increased by $1400 to $41,790 – with the hot hatch powered by a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder petrol engine making 147kW and 320Nm, mated to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, all variants of the T-Roc have been given access to the Go Connect smartphone app for five years – allowing owners to check the status of their vehicle (such as oil and fuel levels), vehicle warnings, current vehicle location, recent trips, and direct access to local dealerships.

The entry-level T-Roc CityLife has gone up by $2000 – priced from $38,990 before on-road costs – with the small SUV receiving several safety upgrades, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and Proactive Occupant Protection System.

Until 31 March 2025, buyers can pick up a 2024 Volkswagen T-Roc CityLife (without the upgrades) for $37,990 drive-away.

The same 1.4-litre turbo four-cylinder petrol engine making 110kW/250Nm powers both the T-Roc CityLife and Style, driving the front wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Step up to the 2025 Volkswagen T-Roc R-Line, and you’ll find a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine under the bonnet, sending 140kW and 320Nm to all four wheels via a seven-speed DSG automatic.

The T-Roc R-Line is now $1200 more, at $49,990 plus on-road costs, but has received a new leather-trimmed sports steering wheel.

At the top of the range is the all-wheel-drive T-Roc R, which also uses a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and seven-speed DSG automatic, but instead makes 221kW and 400Nm.

The 2025 Volkswagen Polo and T-Roc range are available to order now, with deliveries commencing in the first quarter of 2025.
