GWM says the H7 reached 1500 expressions of interest faster than any previous new GWM model.

The latest update follows CarSauce’s earlier coverage of the Haval H7’s Australian pricing guidance, with the new SUV set to start from under $50,000 driveaway.

Haval H7 page views on GWM Australia’s website have also quadrupled compared with the outgoing model it replaces.

The SUV has also been displayed at GWM’s pop-up at Chadstone Shopping Centre, with queues forming as potential customers waited for a closer look.

"We have high expectations for the all-new HAVAL H7, and the level of early interest shown from prospective buyers across Australia demonstrates that GWM looks to have the formula just right with this new model," said Steve Maciver, Head of Marketing & Communications at GWM Australia.

"Continuing to offer Australians exciting new models like the all-new HAVAL H7, with the right technology at the right price, will enable GWM to move closer to its ambition of becoming a top five brand," Mr Maciver said.

The Haval H7 will sit alongside the Haval H6 in GWM’s medium SUV line-up.

After its European debut in Baveno, Italy, the H7 arrives with a boxy silhouette, upright proportions and four grades across two electrified powertrains.
