2026 Mitsubishi Triton Raider Priced From $74,990: How It Compares with the Ranger and HiLux
Mitsubishi has confirmed $74,990 driveaway pricing for the 2026 Triton Raider, placing it near Ford Ranger Wildtrak and Toyota HiLux Rugged X.
Mitsubishi Motors Australia has confirmed the 2026 Triton Raider will be priced from $74,990 when it reaches showrooms by June 2026.
Based on the Triton GSR Dual Cab, the Raider has been developed with Premcar and undergoes second-stage manufacturing in Epping, Victoria.
Its pricing places it in the same general band as higher-grade dual-cab utes including the 2026 Ford Ranger Wildtrak, the 2026 Toyota HiLux Rugged X and the 2026 BYD Shark 6 Performance.
| Model | Variant | Price | Price basis | Key details |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 Mitsubishi Triton | Raider 4x4 dual-cab pick-up auto | $74,990 | Driveaway and RRP as listed by Mitsubishi | Premcar suspension, all-terrain tyres, 18-inch ROH wheels |
| 2026 Ford Ranger | Wildtrak double-cab pickup V6 | $75,090 | Before on-road costs | 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6, full-time four-wheel drive, 3500kg braked towing |
| 2026 Toyota HiLux | Rugged X dual-cab pick-up 4x4 48-volt auto | $71,990 | Before on-road costs | 2.8-litre turbo-diesel with 48-volt system, part-time four-wheel drive, 3500kg braked towing |
| 2026 BYD Shark 6 | Performance | $62,900 | Before on-road costs | Plug-in hybrid all-wheel drive, 350kW and 700Nm system outputs, 3500kg braked towing |
The Raider’s price is $9410 higher than the Triton GSR 4x4 dual-cab pick-up auto on which it is based.
In return, the Raider adds a Premcar-developed suspension package, Bridgestone AT002 all-terrain tyres, heavier-duty ROH Assault 18-inch alloy wheels and a series of exterior and interior identification changes.
The suspension changes include unique front and rear dampers, with the front damper using an internal rebound spring.
Premcar has also fitted a different front spring and jounce bumper.
Mitsubishi says the changes are designed to improve wheel control across a range of surfaces.
The Raider keeps the Yamaha Performance Damper system introduced with the broader 2026 Triton GSR update.
Ride height is increased by 25mm at the front and 15mm at the rear.
Mitsubishi says 10mm of the front increase comes from the new front springs, while 15mm comes from the upgraded wheel and tyre package.
The rear height increase comes from the wheel and tyre package.
Front and rear tracks are each widened, with Mitsubishi quoting a total track increase of 20mm.
Exterior changes include Brushed Bronze wheels, Sandstorm side decals, Raider tailgate badging, a Dark Warm Grey front garnish, side protection bars and a sports bar with red inserts.
The strengthened underbody protection is also finished in red and carries Raider lettering.
Four exterior colours will be available at launch: White Diamond, Black Mica, Blade Silver and Graphite Grey.
Inside, the Raider carries over the key equipment from the Triton GSR.
It adds black leather seats with orange stitching, Raider-branded front headrests and a Raider badge on the centre console.
Mitsubishi has not detailed any powertrain changes in the Raider announcement.
It has also not supplied a Raider-specific towing capacity, payload figure or fuel consumption figure in the material provided.
"Triton Raider is already breaking new ground for the Mitsubishi brand in Australia," said Bruce Hampel, General Manager of Product Strategy, MMAL.
"Early feedback from our dealer network since unveiling has been resoundingly positive, with specific callouts for Raider’s improved wheel control, aggressive styling and off-road performance."

The Raider now sits above the GSR as the most expensive Triton variant in Australia.

| GLX+ 4x4 dual-cab chassis auto | $52,690 |
| GLX+ 4x4 dual-cab pick-up auto | $53,990 |
| GLX-R 4x4 dual-cab pick-up auto | $57,440 |

| GSR 4x4 dual-cab pick-up auto | $65,590 |
| Raider 4x4 dual-cab pick-up auto | $74,990 driveaway |
Against the 2026 Ford Ranger Wildtrak V6, the Triton Raider is priced slightly lower on the headline figure and includes on-road costs under Mitsubishi’s stated driveaway pricing.
The Ford counters with a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6, full-time four-wheel drive and a quoted 3500kg braked towing capacity in the supplied material.
The 2026 Toyota HiLux Rugged X is listed at $71,990 before on-road costs, making it cheaper than the Raider on list price but not directly comparable without driveaway pricing.
The HiLux Rugged X uses Toyota’s 2.8-litre turbo-diesel with a 48-volt system, part-time four-wheel drive and a quoted 3500kg braked towing capacity.
The 2026 BYD Shark 6 Performance is priced lower again at $62,900 before on-road costs and uses a plug-in hybrid all-wheel-drive system.
Its supplied figures include 350kW and 700Nm system outputs, an 80km WLTP electric driving range and a 3500kg braked towing capacity.
The value equation therefore depends on whether buyers prioritise the Raider’s local Premcar suspension work and driveaway pricing, the Ranger’s V6 diesel, the HiLux’s established diesel formula, or the Shark 6’s plug-in hybrid drivetrain.
All Mitsubishi Tritons are covered by the brand’s 10/10/10 Diamond Advantage program.
This includes up to 10 years or 200,000km of manufacturer warranty coverage when all scheduled services are completed on time at a Mitsubishi dealership.
If those conditions are not met, Mitsubishi says a five-year or 100,000km warranty applies.
The program also includes 10 years of capped-price servicing up to 150,000km and up to 10 years of roadside assistance when eligible servicing requirements are met.
