New Mitsubishi Pajero Brings Back Classic Multi Meter Display
Mitsubishi’s next-generation Pajero will revive the Multi Meter as a digital off-road display ahead of its global debut in 2026.
Mitsubishi will revive one of the Pajero’s better-known cabin features, with the next-generation model set to adopt a digital Multi Meter display.
The all-new Mitsubishi Pajero cross-country SUV is scheduled for a global debut in autumn 2026, with Mitsubishi positioning the feature as a link between the incoming model and previous generations.
The new Multi Meter is a digital triple meter display designed to show off-road and vehicle data in real time.
Mitsubishi says it will display altitude, compass heading, ambient temperature, vehicle pitch and roll angles, and left-right torque distribution.
The feature follows the spirit of the dashboard pod used in older Pajero generations and Pajero Mini models, which commonly displayed items such as an inclinometer, altimeter, outside temperature and voltage.

The new version broadens that idea with drivetrain information, including torque distribution across the left and right sides of the vehicle.
Mitsubishi says the display is intended to assist drivers across steep inclines, mountain roads, forest trails, rocky terrain and muddy conditions after heavy rain.
It is not yet clear how the Multi Meter will be presented across the Pajero range, or whether it will be standard or limited to selected grades.
The Pajero nameplate is also expected to return to Australia, with Mitsubishi Australia previously indicating the new model is planned to arrive locally before the end of 2026 in CarSauce’s earlier coverage of the Pajero’s Australian comeback.
